Galaxy Slideshow & Starwatch

Join astronomers Adrienne Cool and Ron Marzke for an evening of star gazing.  Begin with a slide show and discussion of recent discoveries in astronomy. Weather permitting, we'll head outside to explore springtime constellations and peer through telescopes at the moons of Jupiter, then venture out into the Milky Way and beyond. (Saturn won’t rise until quite late, but folks who dare to stay up until the wee hours can still be rewarded.)

No experience required; kids of all ages are encouraged to bring their questions!

DATE:  May 7, 8:00 p.m. slide show - Norway House

Viewing with telescopes begins about 9:00 p.m. (Bring your binoculars and/or telescopes)

COST:  Donation of $10 adults/$5 kids.  Matched by Sorensen’s to support the Alpine County Schools science programs.
