Alta Alpina Bike Rides

Alta Alpina is a local cycling club offering supported rides and a social environment where cyclists of all ages and abilities can enjoy the sport.  They offer both mountain bike and road bike excursions throughout the year and the rides range from recreational to strenuous organized rides. Riding the Wild Sierra is just that with the 5-pass Challenge climbing 16,000 feet in 134 miles and including our local passes:  Carson, Ebbetts and Monitor. The 8-Pass Challenge, their marquee event for experienced riders from around the world, is dubbed “the worlds most scenic double century,” and takes in tougher mountain passes from Nevada to Alpine County. Checkpoints are fully stocked for these rides and lunch and dinner are included. To round out the day, families are encouraged to attend and enjoy a scenic foothill ride through Carson Valley. No matter what, these rides are for the enjoyment, pleasure and challenge of cycling. And, as their motto states, any of these excursions are “a ride for cyclists, organized by cyclists.” For more information and registration, contact AACC at (877-845-2453) or email:
