Medicinal Plants Walk

Did you know there are medicinal uses of many of our Sierra plants and flowers? Well, you can supply your own medicine cabinet with the likes of roses, wild onions, yarrow mint and more. Our fields and mountains in and around Hope Valley are chock full of both delicate and vibrant flowers and plants that are actually good for you, too.  Join Dr. Kimball Chatfield, a medical botanist and Doctor of Oriental Medicine, for a fascinating trek in search of these important plants with surprising medicinal uses. Dr. Chatfield is author of Astragalus: Ancient Herb for Modern Times (available at Sorensen’s).  For information and reservations, call Sorensen’s at (800) 423-9949.

Date:  July 8; 9:30 – 1:00 p.m.
